About Surf Kitty Cottage
We Would Love to Host Your Visit
Surf Kitty Cottage, our rustic beach cottage a block from the ocean in downtown Huntington Beach, is a shared space for beach-goers, surfers and cat lovers. We have an old-school Victorian-style porch; a peaceful garden and small yard with fire-pit; outdoor dining area on patio with grill; locking outdoor storage for bikes and coolers; guest parking for cars, water vessels, and RVs (w/o hook-up). Our front porch is a favorite of guests, shaded by graceful crepe myrtle trees full of hummingbirds and often occupied by Biggie, a kind and lovable tomcat and our inspiration for Surf Kitty Cottage. Whether you’ve been here in the past or stayed at one of our other properties, we’d love to see you, one of our preferred guests, once again! Please contact us with inquiries.

Check in & Check out
Check in between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Checkout time is 10:00 AM. Need a different arrangement? Let us know! Availability permitting, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations made with 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away.
House Rules
All guests must be 21 years of age or older with current valid identification. No pets (we already have our surf kitty, Biggie). No smoking. Quiet hours: 12:00 AM to 7:-00 AM.
Some Things To Remember
You must be able to climb stairs to enter Surf Kitty Cottage. Huntington Beach is an active community year round, so there is potential for some noise. Pets live on the property (Biggie the cat). Some spaces are shared, and access to shared amenities may be limited. There are surveillance devices on the property.
For a bohemian beach experience this classic Victorian is just the ticket. There are elements that make this stay feel natural, rural and connected. At the same time, you are within walking distance to everything that makes Huntington Beach special. While you can enjoy modern amenities, there are characteristics that will transport you back in time. A recommended experience.

Great location and great hospitality! All the small things, like a ton of big fluffy towels, a chill cat to pet, an offer of coffee every morning, made us feel totally at home! Melissa is an awesome host, and her place is great!
Surf Kitty Cottage is perfect for both short and long stays where you want to be in walking distance to the beach. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and the place has a cute rustic kitty charm to it. I would definitely recommend Surf Kitty Cottage… I would love to stay here again!
